A3 UV Flatbed Printer A3-19 (Epson L800)

Models · A3-19

A desktop A3 UV flatbed printer for small objects: it prints a 267 × 420 mm area on items up to 120 mm tall, measures the height with an infrared sensor and prints white plus colour, including raised relief effects. It uses an Epson L800 head with a six-colour CISS ink supply, AcroRIP software and a water- and air-cooled 30 W UV LED lamp, and weighs 46 kg. Choose it for phone cases, gifts, cards and signs; the A2 model takes larger and taller items, the A5 model is smaller and lighter.

Overview

A UV flatbed printer prints straight onto objects laid on its bed, and a UV lamp cures the ink at once. The A3 model prints a 267 × 420 mm area on items up to 120 mm tall. An infrared sensor measures each object and sets the platform height, so you can switch from a phone case to a bottle or a crystal block without manual adjustment.

An Epson L800 head prints at up to 2880 × 1440 dpi from a six-colour continuous ink supply (CISS). The printer lays white under or over colours and can build raised relief textures. An A3 sheet takes about 3 minutes at 1440 dpi, and ink use is about 20 ml per square metre.

FAQ

About this machine

How tall an object can it print on?

Up to 120 mm. An infrared sensor measures the object height and sets the platform, and an infrared anti-collision system protects the head.

Does it work with a Mac?

No. It runs AcroRIP on Windows; the software does not support macOS.

Can it print white and raised textures?

Yes. It prints white ink under or over colours and builds up layers for raised relief effects.

How much ink does it use?

About 20 ml per square metre of print, depending on the image and colour set.

What is the difference from the A2 model?

The A2 model has a larger 500 × 400 mm bed, 150 mm print height and up to two heads. The A3 is a compact desktop unit at 46 kg.
