Overview

The MW-LC100 is a compact laser cleaning system for small areas that need gentle, high-precision cleaning, de-coating or other surface treatment. A 100 W pulsed fiber laser produces 8–10 kW peak pulses. These remove rust, oxide, resin, oil, stains, dirt, coatings, plating and paint from metal parts of different shapes. It also removes deposits from carved stone and residue from rubber moulds.

No blasting media, chemicals or water are needed. You plug the machine into a normal socket and start cleaning. Power draw is 500 W or less.

Configuration

The system has four parts:

Laser source with its controls and air cooling, in a wheeled hard case of 380 × 270 × 575 mm and about 30 kg.
Fiber cable, 3 m long, which delivers the beam.
Cleaning head, about 1.9 kg with the isolator. The scan length and width can be set separately.
Field lens, 160 mm focal length as standard.

Power is adjustable from 10 to 100 % in steps. The head can be held by hand or mounted for automated work. With few parts and no media to refill, the system is easy to operate and needs very little upkeep between jobs.

How portable is it?

The machine weighs about 30 kg and measures 380 × 270 × 575 mm without wheels. It rolls on its own wheels, and the cleaning head weighs about 1.9 kg.

What power supply does it need?

Standard is single-phase 220 V ±10 %, 50/60 Hz, and it draws 500 W or less. We can build it for 110 V up to 380 V.

Can I change the working distance?

Yes. The standard field lens has a 160 mm focal length. Lenses from 160 to 330 mm are available for a longer working distance or a different spot size.

Is it suitable for cleaning rubber moulds?
