Backpack and portable cleaners, 20–100 W

Compact Fiber Laser Cleaning Machine 50 / 75 / 100 W (carry case)

A compact 50–100 W fiber laser cleaner in a steel housing with a top carry handle. A handheld scanning head on an armoured fiber cable cleans up to 200 mm wide. It suits maintenance teams cleaning rust, oil and oxide from steel, mould gears and aluminium parts, and the factory's test pieces show no base-metal damage.

Overview

This compact fiber laser cleaner is for maintenance and repair teams. They need more power than a 20–50 W unit but do not want a floor cabinet. The laser, controls and cooling sit in a steel housing with a carry handle on top. A handheld scanning head on an armoured fiber cable does the cleaning.

Laser cleaning needs no contact and no abrasive, chemicals or cleaning liquid. Rust, oil and oxide absorb the laser energy and come off, and the substrate stays intact. In the factory’s tests on cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, mould steel gears and aluminium plate, every piece came out clean or smooth with no damage to the base metal.

Configuration

  • Laser: fiber laser at 50, 75 or 100 W.
  • Cleaning head: handheld scanning head with a scan width of up to 200 mm, on an armoured fiber cable.
  • Controls: front-panel switches and an emergency stop.
  • Housing: steel case with a top carry handle. Listed size is 680 × 600 × 450 mm and weight is 39 kg.

Typical applications

The factory test results give a good guide to where this machine fits:

  • Rust on cast iron and carbon steel plate, 2000–3000 mm²/s
  • Oil and light rust on stainless steel, 1800–2400 mm²/s
  • Oil and iron filings on mould steel gears, 2000–3000 mm²/s
  • Oxide and surface fouling on aluminium plate, 1500–2300 mm²/s

Options and customization

  • Laser power of 50, 75 or 100 W
  • Voltage and plugs to suit your country
  • Operator training at our Wuhan factory, free of charge

Like all our machines, it has a 2-year whole-machine warranty. Ask us for the full specification sheet for your chosen power option.

FAQ

About this machine

How fast does it clean?

In factory tests, carbon steel with 0.05 mm of rust cleaned at 2000–3000 mm²/s. Stainless steel with oil and light rust cleaned at 1800–2400 mm²/s, and oxidised aluminium at 1500–2300 mm²/s. Your rate depends on the power option and the contamination, so we suggest a sample test.

Does it damage the base metal?

In the factory tests, all listed materials came out clean or smooth with no damage to the base metal. Pulsed fiber cleaning heats only the surface layer, but settings matter. We set them up with you during training.

How does it compare with the backpack cleaner?

It offers the same 50, 75 and 100 W power options and the same 200 mm scan width as our 17 kg backpack cleaner. The difference is the housing: a steel box with a carry handle instead of a backpack. Choose the backpack if the operator needs to walk and climb with the machine.

What power supply does it need?

Tell us your local voltage and plug type, and we will configure the machine to suit. Full electrical data is in the specification sheet, which we send on request.
