Handheld and portable markers

Portable Handheld Fiber Laser Marking Machine 20–50 W

Models · MW-F (20–100)

A portable fiber laser marker with a handheld scan head, for marking parts that are too large or heavy to bring to a machine table. The air-cooled source sits in a compact 40 kg cabinet with carry handles, and a lifting table on the side handles small parts at the bench. It marks metals at up to 8000 mm/s over a 110 × 110 mm field.

Overview

Some parts are too big, too heavy or already installed, so they cannot go under a fixed marking head. This machine brings the laser to the part. The galvo scan head has its own grip handle and a support cage, and the fiber laser source sits in a compact cabinet with carry handles.

The head steers a 1064 nm fiber laser beam at up to 8000 mm/s across a 110 × 110 mm field. That is enough for serial numbers, logos, dates and codes on large castings, pipes and machine frames. For small parts, the same machine works as a bench marker: leave the head on its bracket and put the part on the lifting table.

Configuration

  • Laser source: air-cooled fiber laser, 20, 30 or 50 W, in a cabinet with carry handles, power and emergency-stop buttons.
  • Scan head: handheld galvo head with grip handle and support cage, fitted with a quartz field lens. Quartz handles high laser power with less thermal focus shift than an ordinary lens.
  • Work table: lifting table on the side of the cabinet for bench work; the table can be customised.
  • Control: EZCAD or MarkingMate marking software.
  • Size and weight: 62 × 26 × 50 cm and 40 kg. It ships in a 72 × 36 × 60 cm crate, 55 kg packed.

Typical applications

The machine marks stainless and carbon steel, aluminium, bronze, gold and silver. Use it for:

  • identification marks on large castings and welded fabrications
  • serial numbers on pipes, profiles and installed equipment
  • nameplates, tools and hardware
  • small parts on the lifting table, in the same way as a desktop marker

Options and customization

  • Power: 20, 30 or 50 W. A 100 W version is also listed in the series data; ask us if you need it.
  • Marking area: 110 × 110 mm as standard; other fields on request.
  • Appearance and work table: both can be customised.
  • Supply: 220 V / 50 Hz as standard; other voltages and plugs on request.

Maxwave covers the machine with a 2-year whole-machine warranty and offers free training at the factory.

FAQ

About this machine

How does handheld marking work?

You take the scan head by its grip and place the support cage against the part, so you can mark castings, pipes or installed equipment where they stand. For small parts, leave the head on its bracket and use the lifting table at the side of the cabinet.

Which materials can it mark?

It is built for metals: stainless and carbon steel, aluminium, bronze, gold and silver. Marking depth is 0.01–0.2 mm depending on the material. For plastics, send us a sample so we can test the result.

Is 20, 30 or 50 W right for me?

20 W covers surface marking such as serial numbers and logos. 30–50 W marks faster and deeper. Tell us the material and the depth you need and we will recommend a power.

How heavy is it to move?

The machine weighs 40 kg and measures 62 × 26 × 50 cm, with carry handles on the cabinet. It ships in a 72 × 36 × 60 cm crate, 55 kg packed.
