Overview

The MW-SM2 is the smallest marker in the Maxwave range. The laser, controller and a 5-inch touch screen sit in one compact housing with a carry handle. Lift it off the stand to mark an item where it is, or leave it on the desktop stand and adjust the height on the graduated lifting axis.

The source is a 2 W end-pumped pulsed laser at 1064 nm. Its small spot gives a high energy density, which is enough for clean surface marks on metal, acrylic, plastic and leather. The marking field is 70 × 70 mm, sized for tags, tumblers, small packaging and leather goods.

Options and customization

The MW-SM2 comes in one power level, 2 W. If you need deeper marks or faster cycle times, look at our 20–100 W fiber markers. For mixed metal and wood work, the dual-wavelength portable marker adds a 10 W blue laser in a similar compact housing.

About this machine

Do I need a computer to run it?

The machine has its own 5-inch touch screen and embedded Linux system, so text, dates and codes can be set up on the machine, and font files can be imported. Ask us how logos and artwork are loaded on your version.

Is 2 W enough for my work?

For surface marks on metal, acrylic, plastic and leather, such as names, logos, dates and QR codes, yes. It is not meant for deep engraving or high-volume production lines; for those, look at a 20 W or larger fiber marker.

What does it need to run?

A DC 12 V, 5 A adapter supplies power and the laser is air-cooled. The working range is 10–40 °C and up to 95 % relative humidity without condensation.

How is it shipped?

In a 46 × 31 × 18.5 cm carton with a packed weight of 8 kg.
