Overview

This is a small-footprint Nd:YAG pulse welder for repair work on gold jewelry and other fine metal parts. You hold the piece in the open chamber, aim under the microscope and fire. The spot is adjustable from 0.1 to 3.0 mm, so the same machine can tack a tiny prong or blend a wider repair. The heat-affected zone is small, parts distort little, and most joints need no solder.

The laser power supply is our own design. It delivers high single-pulse power with low overall consumption, about 2 kW at the socket.

Configuration

  • Laser: Nd:YAG, 1064 nm, 100 W, in a ceramic reflector cavity.
  • Pulse: 45 J per pulse, 0.1–10 ms, 1–10 Hz.
  • Cooling: water cooling designed around the YAG crystal, for stable beam quality and longer xenon-lamp life.
  • Viewing: binocular microscope.
  • Control: LCD touch panel in several languages, including English, Spanish and Arabic.
  • Safety: laser filter protection for the operator’s eyes; key switch and emergency stop on the front.
  • Cabinet: 510 × 295 × 395 mm, 28 kg; AC 220 V, 50 Hz.

Typical applications

  • Gold jewelry repair: rings, chains and settings
  • Watch hairsprings and other small watch parts
  • Dental repairs
  • Small components in electronics, instruments and medical devices

Its small size makes it a practical first laser for a repair counter, or a second welder next to a larger 200 W machine.

Options and customization

For a combined CCD screen and microscope in the same cabinet size, see the MW-DW60 mini CCD welder. We can adapt the mains voltage and plug to your country. Every machine carries our 2-year whole-machine warranty, and operator training at our Wuhan factory is free.

FAQ

About this machine

Is the pulse energy 100 J or 45 J?

This machine has been sold under a 100J name, but the specification table for this 100 W model lists 45 J per pulse. Treat 45 J as the working figure and ask us to confirm before you order.

How much bench space does it need?

The cabinet is 510 × 295 × 395 mm and weighs 28 kg, so it fits on a normal jeweler's bench. Leave room around the cooling vents.

Can staff use it in their own language?

Yes. The LCD touch interface supports several languages, including English, Spanish and Arabic.

Do I need filler material?

Many joints need none: the pulse fuses the parts directly with an even spot and little distortion. For larger holes you can add fine wire.
