Jewelry laser welders

Mini Jewelry Laser Welder 200 W with Microscope and CCD

A compact 200 W Nd:YAG jewelry welder that pairs a binocular microscope with a CCD camera, so you can aim precisely and check each weld. It delivers 100 J pulses with a 0.1–3.0 mm spot, set from a touch panel. Built for jewelers, watch repairers and small-parts workshops.

Overview

This is a compact Nd:YAG pulse welder for precise work on small metal parts. You place the piece in the lit chamber, line it up under the microscope or on the CCD image, and fire a pulse. Each pulse melts a spot between 0.1 and 3.0 mm across, so the weld stays small and the surrounding metal, stones and finish do not overheat.

Energy, pulse width, frequency and spot size are adjustable over a wide range. The same machine can tack a jump ring, fill porosity in a casting and run short overlapping seams on thin parts. Most joints need no solder, distort the part very little and need little finishing.

Configuration

  • Laser: Nd:YAG with a Ø7 mm crystal in a ceramic reflector cavity, pumped by a pulsed xenon lamp. 1064 nm, 200 W.
  • Pulse: 100 J, 0.1–10 ms, 1–10 Hz.
  • Viewing: binocular microscope plus CCD camera.
  • Control: touch control panel.
  • Cooling: water cooling designed around the YAG crystal, for stable beam quality and longer lamp life.
  • Safety: automatic light-shielding system for the operator’s eyes.
  • Power: AC 220 V, 50 Hz, about 2 kW.

Typical applications

  • Repair and assembly of gold, silver and platinum jewelry
  • Watch parts, including fine springs
  • Titanium parts such as eyeglass frames, and nickel-strip joints
  • Dental work
  • Small, heat-sensitive parts and leads in electronics

The machine is specified for 24-hour continuous operation, so it suits a busy repair counter as well as a production bench.

Options and customization

We can set voltage and plug for your market. If your parts are unusual, send samples and we will test-weld them before you order. Every machine carries our 2-year whole-machine warranty, and operator training at our Wuhan factory is free.

FAQ

About this machine

Why have both a microscope and a CCD camera?

The binocular microscope gives a direct, sharp view for aiming each pulse. The CCD camera shows a magnified image on screen, which makes it easier to inspect the finished weld and to show the work to a customer or a trainee.

Do I need filler wire?

Many joints need none: the pulse fuses the parts directly, spots are even and distortion is small. For larger holes or porosity, jewelers usually add fine wire of the same alloy.

What electrical supply does it need?

Single-phase AC 220 V, 50 Hz, with about 2 kW consumption. We can adapt voltage and plug for your country; tell us when you order.

How is it cooled?

By water. The cooling design surrounds the YAG crystal, which keeps beam quality stable and extends the life of the xenon lamp.

Can it work all day?

Yes. It is specified for 24-hour continuous operation.
