Overview

The MW-DW60 is a small Nd:YAG pulse welder for jewelry shops that want laser repair without giving up much bench space. It averages 60 W (100 W maximum) and fires single pulses of 40–60 J. The beam can be set from 0.1 to 2.0 mm, which suits tacking, pinpoint fills and short seams on precious-metal parts.

Viewing combines a CCD screen with a microscope. You aim through the eyepieces and can follow the whole weld on screen, which helps when you need to check a joint or show it to a customer.

It is a sensible first laser welder for a repair counter. It takes over jobs where torch heat would risk stones or nearby solder joints.

Why choose a CCD model?

The CCD screen shows the weld area magnified, alongside the microscope. You can watch the whole weld, check the result without moving the piece, and share the view with a customer or trainee.

Is 60 W enough for jewelry repair?

It is aimed at small repairs on rings, chains, settings and findings, with 40–60 J pulses and a 0.1–2.0 mm beam. For thicker sections or longer seams, look at our 100–200 W desktop welders.
