Jewelry laser welders

Permanent Jewelry Laser Welder 150 W with CCD (MW-K100-200)

Models · MW-K100-200

A 150 W Nd:YAG desktop spot welder that combines an 8× CCD camera with a 10× coaxial microscope for exact positioning. It fires 40 J pulses at up to 50 Hz through a 0.2–2 mm spot and works with 0.1–0.5 mm filler wire. For jewelers who need more power than a mini welder in a desktop format.

Overview

The MW-K100-200 is a desktop Nd:YAG spot welder rated at 150 W. Each pulse heats the surface of the joint; the heat conducts inward and forms a small weld pool. You control its size with pulse width, energy, peak power and repetition rate. With 40 J per pulse, up to 50 Hz and a spot from 0.2 to 2 mm, it covers fine tack welds as well as heavier repairs with filler wire.

Positioning uses two systems together: a 10× coaxial microscope and an 8× CCD camera shown on the 7-inch touch screen. You see exactly where the pulse will land and can check the result on screen.

Configuration

  • Laser: Nd:YAG, 1064 nm, 150 W, 40 J per pulse.
  • Pulse: up to 15 ms width and up to 50 Hz.
  • Spot and wire: 0.2–2 mm spot; filler wire 0.1–0.5 mm.
  • Positioning: CCD camera (8×) and coaxial microscope (10×).
  • Control: 7-inch LED touch screen with an English or Chinese interface.
  • Cooling: water cooling built into the cabinet, with a temperature display on the front panel.
  • Work area: two hand ports with arm rests at the front.
  • Power: AC 220 V ±5 %, single phase, 3 kW.
  • Size and weight: 726 × 430 × 480 mm, 65 kg.

Typical applications

  • Gold and silver jewelry repair
  • Filling holes and porosity in castings
  • Rebuilding prongs with filler wire
  • Chain work, including permanent jewelry

The machine works at 0–35 °C and 5–85 % humidity, which covers most shop environments.

FAQ

About this machine

What does the coaxial microscope with CCD do?

The microscope looks down the same optical path as the laser, so what you see is where the pulse lands. The CCD camera (8×) shows the view on the 7-inch screen, so you can check the weld without the eyepieces.

Can I use filler wire?

Yes. The machine is specified for 0.1–0.5 mm filler wire, which you feed into the spot to build up worn prongs or fill larger holes.

What is permanent jewelry, and can this machine do it?

Permanent jewelry is a chain bracelet, anklet or necklace closed with a small weld on the jump ring instead of a clasp. This welder is listed for that work: the 0.2 mm minimum spot and adjustable pulse let you make small, low-energy welds on fine chain. Ask us which setup suits your studio.

What power supply does it need?

Single-phase AC 220 V ±5 %, with 3 kW consumption. We can adapt voltage and plug for your country.

How heavy is it?

65 kg net and 68 kg in its 875 × 530 × 540 mm wooden crate. Plan for two people to lift it onto a sturdy bench.
