Jewelry laser welders

Portable Jewelry Laser Welder 200 W (Nd:YAG)

A compact 200 W Nd:YAG spot welder for jewelers, optical shops and dental labs that need precise joints without solder. It fires pulses of up to 100 J through a 0.1–2 mm spot, aimed through a 10× microscope. The cabinet measures 850 × 500 × 360 mm and has the chiller built in.

Overview

This welder uses a lamp-pumped Nd:YAG laser to fuse small metal parts with short, high-energy pulses. You aim through a 10× microscope and fire single pulses or a fast series at up to 20 Hz. The beam focuses to a spot between 0.1 and 2 mm, so each weld is small and neat and the heat stays close to the joint.

It suits benches that handle several kinds of fine work: gold and silver jewelry, eyeglass frames, dental frameworks and small mould details. Most joints need no solder, and the finished welds need little cleanup.

Configuration

  • Laser: Ø7 mm Nd:YAG crystal in a ceramic reflector cavity, pumped by a pulsed xenon lamp. 1064 nm, 200 W.
  • Pulse: up to 100 J, 0.2–15 ms, 1–20 Hz.
  • Power supply: Maxwave LS-W200 pulse power supply.
  • Cooling: chiller integrated in the cabinet, with over-temperature alarm and flow protection.
  • Control: single-chip (PIC) controller with simple parameter settings.
  • Viewing: 10× microscope.
  • Size: 850 × 500 × 360 mm; maximum input power 7 kW.

Typical applications

  • Repairing and assembling gold and silver jewelry
  • Eyeglass frames
  • Dental frameworks
  • Small repairs on moulds
  • Joining parts in bronze, aluminium, steel and titanium

Options and customization

The machine is built around 200 W average power. For a larger cabinet with the same LS-W200 power supply, see our 100 / 200 W desktop jewelry welder. We can configure the mains voltage and plug for your country. Every machine carries our 2-year whole-machine warranty, and operator training at our Wuhan factory is free.

FAQ

About this machine

What does portable mean for this welder?

It is a compact desktop unit, 850 × 500 × 360 mm, with the chiller built in, so it fits on a standard bench and can be moved between rooms. It runs on mains power, and its maximum input is 7 kW, so check your circuit before installation.

Which metals can it weld?

Gold, silver, bronze, aluminium, steel and titanium. That covers most jewelry, eyeglass-frame and dental alloys.

How hard is it to learn?

The control system is simple, and most operators pick up the basics in a short session. We also offer free training at our Wuhan factory.

Who makes the laser power supply?

We do. Maxwave started in 2009 by building laser power supplies, and this welder uses our own LS-W200 pulse supply, so the power supply and the machine are serviced by the same team.
