Overview

This track-type printer prints murals directly onto walls with UV ink. The black tower stands on a floor rail of four 1.0 m sections. The print carriage moves up and down the tower, and the tower steps along the rail band by band. Standard print size is 2.5 m high by 6 m wide; a 3 m print height is available, and width is unlimited when you move the rail along the wall.

The ink system has six channels: cyan, magenta, yellow, black and two white. White lets you print bright colours on dark or coloured walls. An air-cooled UV lamp cures the ink as it prints, so the surface is dry and scratch-resistant straight away.

Speed is 8 m²/h in draft and standard modes and 5 m²/h in high-resolution mode.

About this machine

Why two white channels?

The six-channel set-up (CMYK + 2 W) gives more white output, which helps when you print bright colours on dark or coloured backgrounds.

How long is the rail?

The standard floor rail has four 1.0 m sections. Width is unlimited: you move the rail along the wall for longer murals. The printer can also run without the rail.

What surfaces can it print on?

Putty and painted walls, tiled walls, diatom mud walls, canvas, paper, glass, ceramic, wood and metal. Test a small area on unusual surfaces first.

How does it compare with the wheel-type printer with guide rails?
