Overview

This machine combines four jobs in one handheld fiber laser: welding, cutting, weld-seam cleaning and rust or dirt removal. One 1500 W source feeds a handheld head. You change the nozzle, select the mode on the touch screen and carry on working.

In welding mode it joins stainless steel up to 5 mm and aluminium up to 3 mm. The seam is smooth, and new operators learn the technique quickly. After welding, fit the cleaning nozzle to remove discoloration from the seam. The same mode removes rust and dirt in a 20 mm path. With the cutting nozzle, the head cuts 1–2 mm metal sheet.

The machine is air-cooled, with no water chiller. That keeps it small and easy to move between jobs.

About this machine

How do I switch between welding, cutting and cleaning?

Fit the nozzle for the job and select the mode on the touch screen. The controller has Weld, Cut, Weld-seam Clean and Remote Clean modes and shows the assembly steps for each one. For a 70 mm cleaning width you also change the focus lens and fit the wide cleaning head.

How thick can it cut?

1–2 mm metal sheet. Handheld cutting suits trimming, openings and repairs. For regular sheet cutting, a flatbed fiber laser cutter is faster and more accurate.

How wide is the cleaning path?

20 mm with the standard setup, for weld seams and for rust or dirt. A 70 mm width needs a different focus lens and cleaning head.

Can it weld with filler wire?

Yes. The machine supports wire-feed welding with a wire feeder. Filler wire is bought separately to suit your material.

What are the running costs?

The wear parts are nozzles and protective lenses, plus filler wire if you weld with wire. The fiber laser source itself has a long service life.
