Handheld fiber laser welders

Mini Handheld Laser Welder 300 W (air-cooled, portable)

A 300 W air-cooled handheld laser welder that weighs 25 kg and runs on a 220 V / 10 A supply. It is made for thin stainless steel and light sheet-metal work where a small, portable unit matters more than thickness.

Overview

This is our smallest handheld laser welder. The whole machine weighs 25 kg and measures 550 × 415 × 190 mm, so it is easy to take to the job. It runs on an ordinary 220 V / 10 A supply and needs no water chiller.

The 300 W continuous laser welds in a large-spot mode with a 0.8 mm spot. That suits thin stainless steel and light sheet metal. The seam is smooth, the part stays flat, and there is usually no grinding afterwards. New users learn the torch technique quickly. Power adjusts from 10 to 100%, so you can turn it down for very thin sheet. Laser welding also needs few consumables, which keeps running costs low.

Configuration

  • Laser: 300 W continuous-wave source, 973 ± 5 nm, output adjustable from 10 to 100%, stability under 3% over 24 h.
  • Delivery: 220 µm fiber core, 3 m cable to the handheld torch.
  • Optics: 135 mm focal length, 25 × 2 mm protective lens, red aiming light.
  • Cooling: air cooling, for ambient temperatures of 0–55 °C.
  • Case: compact case with control panel and emergency stop on top.

Typical applications

  • Thin stainless steel parts and small assemblies.
  • Light sheet-metal fabrication and repair.
  • Mobile work on site, where a full-size cabinet is hard to move.

Because it plugs into a standard 220 V / 10 A outlet, the welder also suits small shops without a three-phase supply.

Options and customization

  • Supply voltage and plug type to suit your country.
  • Tell us your material and thickness first; we confirm whether 300 W is enough or a larger welder fits better.

The machine has a 2-year whole-machine warranty, and we train operators free of charge at our factory. For thicker material, look at our air-cooled 1000–1500 W handheld welder.

FAQ

About this machine

How thick can the 300 W welder weld?

The original data sheet does not give a thickness rating. The machine is meant for thin stainless steel and light sheet metal. Tell us your material and thickness, or send a sample, and we will confirm.

What power supply does it need?

220 V at 10 A. We can supply other voltages and plug types to order.

Does it need water cooling?

No. It is air-cooled and rated for ambient temperatures from 0 to 55 °C.

What is the main wear part?

The 25 × 2 mm protective lens in the torch, which shields the optics from spatter.

When should I choose a bigger handheld welder instead?

Choose the 300 W unit when weight and size matter most. For regular welding of 2–4 mm steel, our 1000–1500 W air-cooled welder is the better fit.
