Overview

The MW-FR1000 is a 1000 W handheld fiber laser welder for small workshops and mixed production. It needs no fixed welding station and takes little floor space. The operator carries the torch to the part, which suits products that change shape from batch to batch.

The welding head is our own wobble design. It swings the beam across the joint, with a spot width you set from 0.6 to 3.0 mm. That makes the process more tolerant of part and gap variation, and gives a wider, more even seam. Welding depth runs from 0.1 to 3 mm on thin stainless steel, iron and galvanized plate.

Configuration

  • Laser source: 1000 W fiber laser (STR), 1064 nm, energy instability under 2%.
  • Welding head: in-house wobble head with adjustable spot width and interchangeable nozzles.
  • Fiber cable: 10 m as standard.
  • Cooling: water chiller (BY1000).
  • Power: 380 V ± 10%, 50 Hz, consumption up to 6 kW.
  • Duty: rated for 16 hours of continuous work; noise under 60 dB.
  • Environment: 13–28 °C and 5–75% humidity.

Typical applications

  • Kitchenware, sinks and stainless steel cabinets.
  • Signage letters.
  • Mould repair.
  • Pipe fittings, flanges and tube joints.
  • Outdoor and on-site jobs where a fixed welding cell is not practical.

Options and customization

  • Supply voltage and plug type to suit your country.
  • Nozzles for butt, lap, fillet and irregular joints.

FAQ

About this machine

What does the wobble head do?

It swings the beam in a small pattern so the spot covers a wider seam. That widens the tolerance for gaps and part fit-up and gives a more even bead. Spot width adjusts from 0.6 to 3.0 mm.

What power supply does the MW-FR1000 need?

380 V ± 10%, 50 Hz, with consumption up to 6 kW. We can build it for other voltages and plug types; confirm your local supply when you order.

How long can it run without a break?

It is rated for 16 hours of continuous work, in an ambient temperature of 13–28 °C and 5–75% humidity.

Can it replace TIG or stick welding?

On thin stainless steel, iron and galvanized plate it is a faster alternative to argon arc (TIG) and stick welding, and the smooth seam usually needs little grinding. For thick plate or wide gaps, ask us which machine fits.

What consumables does it use?

Mainly protective lenses for the welding head. Laser welding uses far fewer consumables than arc welding.
