Application · Laser marking · CO2 engraving & cutting

Fade denim. Brand leather. No chemicals.

Organic materials absorb the CO2 wavelength strongly. Garment factories use CO2 galvo lasers to create worn-look patterns on denim, mark logos on leather and cut fabric shapes.

The job

Garment and leather-goods factories add patterns, logos and worn-look effects to products in large volumes. Traditional methods use sanding, chemical sprays and stamping dies, which take labour and create waste.

How CO2 lasers do it

A CO2 laser at 10.6 µm is strongly absorbed by cotton, leather, paper and wood. A galvo head steers the beam fast across a large field, so a whole leg panel or a leather patch is marked in seconds. Changing the design is a file change, not a new die.

Choosing a machine

  • Galvo CO2 markers for fast marking and fading on denim, leather and paper.
  • Flatbed CO2 engravers for cutting fabric, leather and paper shapes and for engraving larger areas.
  • Flying CO2 markers for coding products on a production line.

Send us a few pieces of your fabric or leather and your artwork. We mark them and send you photos and a video.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

How does laser denim fading work?

The CO2 laser removes a thin layer of indigo-dyed fibre in a controlled pattern, creating whiskers, worn areas or graphics. It replaces part of the manual sanding and chemical spraying traditionally used for these effects.

Can a CO2 laser engrave leather?

Yes. It marks logos and patterns on natural and many synthetic leathers with a darkened, embossed-looking finish. Test on your material: tanning and finish change the result.
